Former Kiwi back to boost Auckland club

The Northcote Tigers have received a timely boost to their playing stocks, with the Fox Memorial Premiership finals just around the corner.

Last week the club welcomed former Kiwi international and NRL fullback Kevin Locke back into Tigers colours, for the first time since his brief return to the club in 2016.

Locke came off the bench in a 16-6 victory over Papakura last week, and is named to do the same in Saturday’s crunch clash with Pt Chevalier, the same side he helped guide to the competition’s Grand Final 12 months ago.

Back in 2016 Locke made an end-of-season return to Northcote to help his junior club dodge relegation, and this year joins fellow former NRL player David Bhana in the Tigers’ squad.
