Auckland head coach Rusty Matua has named his side to face the New Zealand Maori Residents on June 4.

“I’m really happy with the team we’ve selected,” Matua said.

“We’re eight weeks into the Auckland competition and we’ve been able to get a close look at the boys.

“It’s our first choice team and we’re excited to see the potential of this squad.”

The NZ Maori Residents team will be coached by Neville Rogers and will feature plenty of familiar faces with 13 of their players currently playing in Auckland’s Fox Memorial Premiership competition.

The Auckland Premier team will play the New Zealand Maori Residents at Hicks Park, Hawera on Saturday June 4, 7pm kick-off.
