The New Zealand Police Rugby League team have completed their Canadian tour with a gritty 8-8 draw against the British Police on Thursday.

It was a bruising encounter, evident in four Kiwi and two British players having to be taken to a local hospital in Vancouver.

Locked 6-all at the break, both sides kicked penalties in the second half but never looked like being split on the scoreboard, with the draw a fair result.

The Kiwi side finish their tour having beaten Canada and British Columbia, while much of the visit was about promoting the game, including trips to a Vancouver school and hospital.
