NZ Player of the Week – Rd 6

Each week fans on our social media accounts vote for their NZ Player of the Round, with a running leaderboard which decides the 2017 kiwileaguecentral.com NZ Player of the Year.

A hat-trick in the space of 18 minutes kickstarted a spectacular night at the office for Jordan Rapana, with the 2016 Kiwi tourist picking up the NZ Player of the Week for Round 6.

In addition to the three tries he scored against the Gold Coast Titans, Rapana broke an incredible 19 tackles, made three line breaks and ran for 234 metres.

He was followed closely in Player of the Week voting by Jason Taumalolo, who carried for 260 metres as his North Queensland Cowboys were upset by the Wests Tigers.

New Zealand Warriors Simon Mannering and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck took the remaining points for Round 6.
