NZ Player of the Week – Rd 2

Each week fans on our social media accounts vote for their NZ Player of the Round, with a running leaderboard which decides the 2017 kiwileaguecentral.com NZ Player of the Year.

Playing his second-consecutive match with extra time, Jason Taumalolo helped the Cowboys to another famous victory over rivals the Brisbane Broncos.

The reigning Dally M Player of the Year carried the ball 20 times for 231 metres, along with making 37 tackles, but will miss the next two weeks after copping a suspension for a shoulder charge.

Former Kiwis skipper Simon Mannering picked up three points in Round 2 with a strong showing on both sides of the ball, carrying for 148 metres and making 43 tackles as his Warriors went down to the Storm.
