You would have to be an idiot to try and predict how a season will go for a team before a ball is even kicked. Luckily we have those in abundance here at kiwileaguecentral.com. Here is our bold, and probably completely wrong, guess at how season 2016 will go for the Wests Tigers.
The Tigers shared a common theme with the other two teams who finished in the bottom three of the NRL this year – a disrupted pre-season with talk of player movements causing distractions.
After opening the season with three losses from their first four games the Tigers regathered to record a couple of gutsy victories over teams who eventually finished in the top four. Along the way they also claimed crucial victories over fellow strugglers Newcastle and Gold Coast.
Those points proved valuable at the end of the year as they escaped a brush with the spoon.
Fullback James Tedesco had another strong year and his name featured heavily in conversations about the NSW no.1 spot.
