The Akarana Falcons have defended their New Zealand Rugby League National Premiership title, running rampant against Counties Manukau to record a 51-20 victory in Auckland on Saturday.
Five tries in under 20 minutes in the first half set Akarana up for the victory, with James Taumata and Dylan Tavita both registering doubles.
The Falcons led 29-10 at halftime, and refused to take their foot off the pedal in the second 40.
